Why an Annual Health Checkup Is Worth It
Many common conditions develop quietly. What an annual checkup covers, who should have one, and how it helps you catch problems early.

Why an annual checkup is worth it
High blood pressure, diabetes and high cholesterol often develop without any symptoms. An annual checkup is the simplest way to find them early, when they are easier to manage.
What a checkup covers
A typical checkup includes a consultation with a doctor, blood pressure and weight, blood tests for glucose, cholesterol, kidney and liver function, and a urine test. Depending on your age and history, it may also include an ECG or imaging.
Who should have one
Adults over 30 benefit from a yearly checkup, and earlier if you have a family history of heart disease, diabetes or cancer, or if you smoke.
How to prepare
Most blood tests need 8 to 10 hours of fasting, so book a morning slot. Bring a list of your medication and any previous results to compare.
After your results
A doctor reviews every result with you and explains what it means in plain language. If anything needs attention, we can book the right specialist the same day.
